Starting My Renewal Journey in Data Engineering

Upon joining the Data Services team at my company, I found a newfound passion for the realm of big data. It all began with a late-night scenario at BigCommerce, where I assisted a distressed shop owner with uploading a spreadsheet full of product SKUs to the admin portal. This experience sparked inspiration within me - could there be a more efficient way to handle data uploads and extractions? Another pivotal moment was during a call with a business owner at Harte Hanks, where the IT admin encountered issues creating a new set of tracking numbers that turned out to be alphanumeric instead of numerical. These encounters resonated with me deeply. I dedicated myself to working closely with these businesses to ensure their big data needs were met effectively. The challenges were embraced wholeheartedly, as I delved into finding solutions.
